QElectroTech 0.100.0 is a free, open-source CAD application purpose-built for drawing electrical, automation and control schematics. Engineers, panel builders and maintenance teams use the single 0.100.0 release to draft power circuits, PLC wiring, terminal strips and single-line diagrams that comply with IEC, NEMA and JIC standards. The program stores every symbol, conductor and component in a SQLite database, letting designers re-use macros, generate automatic wire numbers, export bills of materials to CSV, and produce ready-to-print PDF sets without proprietary licensing costs. Because the project is GPL-licensed, universities and vocational schools embed it in electrotechnical curricula, while OEMs customize the XML-based symbol library to match in-house component lines. Cross-platform installers for Windows, macOS and Linux guarantee consistent file format compatibility, so a diagram started on a student laptop can be finished on the shop-floor PC without conversion. Integration with FreeCAD and KiCad is supported through the common DXF/SVG exchange layer, enabling mechanical and electronic teams to co-develop enclosure layouts and PCB footprints from the same schematic master. Recent builds add IEC-81346-compliant device tags, real-time connection highlighting and improved PostgreSQL server support for multi-user installations. The software is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources (e.g. winget), always delivering the latest version, and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
